About the Role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role will be integral to the successful manufacture of products such as antennas and sub-systems.
Responsibilities
* Perform precision machining of components using manual mills and lathes, with a focus on aluminium and thermos plastics
* Conduct assembly of antenna components with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring adherence to specifications
* Bench fitting to achieve precise dimensions for seamless integration of components
* Manufacture assembly and test fixtures to support the production process
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings to meet design specifications
* Utilise measurement tools to verify and maintain the accuracy of machined parts
Qualifications
Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience in precision machining and assembly.
Required Skills
* ESSENTIAL: manual mills and lathe use of these, preferably at the toolmaker level
* Familiarity with band saws, linishers, grinders and other manual workshop equipment
* Skill in using various measurement tools to ensure precision of machined components
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
* Exemplary attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

The following are advantageous but not a requirement:
* Ability to programme a CNC
* Brazing/soldering ability
