Teamforce are currently recruiting for an experienced Civils Ganger with troughing experience to lead a team on ongoing works in York. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering key infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Role Overview
As a Civils Ganger, you will be responsible for supervising a small team on site, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification. A strong background in troughing installation is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate a team of operatives on site
* Oversee installation of troughing routes, including excavation, laying, and reinstatement
* Ensure all works are completed in line with project specifications and deadlines
* Maintain high standards of health & safety on site
* Liaise with site managers, engineers, and other trades
* Complete daily reports and assist with planning of works
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Civils Ganger or Supervisor
* Strong experience in troughing installation (essential)
* Valid CSCS card (Gold or Black preferred)
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification (preferred)Good leadership and communication skills
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans
