Teacher in Engineering (Ref: 9555WC)
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£27,785 – £43,325 per annum
This role may be eligible for a targeted retention incentive payment of up to £6,000.
In This Position, You Will
Deliver and assess specialist units across Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma, AAQ Engineering, A Level Physics and/or Electronics depending on your Engineering specialism. The ability/willingness to upskill to deliver CAD is highly desirable.
Alongside general Engineering Principles and Maths and Further Maths units, this could include CAD, Electronic Devices, Measurement and Testing and Microcontrollers. The exact units can be discussed and will be tailored to your specialism.
You Will Be Required To
* Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and engaging teaching materials to support student learning.
* Monitor learner progress, set meaningful targets and provide high-quality bespoke support.
You Will Also Be Responsible For
* Ensuring compliance with quality standards and college policies.
* Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A degree, apprenticeship, or industrial experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline such as Physics or Maths.
* Proven track record of outstanding learner outcomes.
* Experience in teaching and assessment within Further/Higher Education, especially BTEC National Extended Diploma and Level 2 City & Guilds.
