A Team Assistant is required for a for specialist fundraising team in Elland. This role will support the fundraising teams with the set up of events, through to the recording or transactions and the support and communications to a wide range of supporters and volunteers. This is a great opportunity to be part of charity, events and fundraising for someone who is looking for a very varied role.
Sayjo Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of this incredible charity. The contract is for 6 months fixed term contract, directly employed by the charity, offering either full-time hours or part time hours, so (30-37.5 hours).
We need someone who is great at communications, who can support a wide range of supporters from companies and the community to the volunteers. Someone who thrives in a busy role, happy to do administration, customer service, lifting of event equipment and print, driving of company van and supporting the set up and delivery of events in the Calderdale area.
Duties will include:
* Handle enquiries from fundraisers, volunteers, supporters and community by phone, face to face, email or letter.
* Working as a team to organising key events from information packs, auction and raffle gifts, displays, stands, collection tubs, risk assessments, transportation all are coordinated on time.
* Updating all donations and gifts on the Donorflex database inline with financial and charity regulations.
* Assist in coordinating volunteers and community fundraisers are supported and made to feel valued and special.
* Update the online giving platform such as Just Giving and issuing milestone recognition and thank you emails.
* Assist at events with stalls, bucket collections to other promotion activities, this will include lifting and movement of displays.
* Sending out thank you cards and recognition to supporters.
* Preparing of prize packs and merchandise ahead of events and milestones.
* Collection of printed materials from the supplier on a weekly basis in the company van.
* Create basic financial reports from the system relating to fundraising targets.
You will be:
* A perfectionist for record keeping and compliance, wanting to make sure every penny raised counts, and every partnership cherished.
* A strong communicator, confident in talking to people and companies to support their fundraising and volunteering efforts.
* Confident with administration including emails, database, financial records and basic reports.
* A UK driving licence holder (over the age of 25 for insurance purposes) willing to drive a transit company van.
* Flexible to work the hours required for events which are known in advance.
You will be required to work full time 37.5 hours per week or if you prefer we can offer 30 hours per week. This will be based on office hours with flexibility to cover and support evening and weekend events as part of a team.
