For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with more than 2 years of experience!
* Eligible candidates are hired into a full or part-time RN position. Bonus amount is prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
* Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.
About the Facility
Scarborough Surgery Center provides care to patients of all ages, performing procedures such as Total Joint Replacement, Robotics, Neuro, ENT, Orthopedics, GYN/GU. The 59,000-SF outpatient surgical center is designed for patient comfort, with facilities including:
* 10 operating rooms
* 31 pre- and post-op rooms
Position Summary
The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center's mission by demonstrating excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient- and family-centered care, community commitment, and accountability. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care, adhering to national standards and institutional policies. Care may be provided across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Minimum Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; must enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire and complete within 5 years. Ongoing education of at least 10 hours annually required.
* Licensure: Current Maine RN license. Relevant specialty certification preferred.
* Experience: Meets Clinical Nurse I requirements; prior Operating Room RN experience required. Level I achieved within 12 months of employment.
* Skills: Knowledge of nursing practices, effective communication, analytical skills for patient condition assessment, crisis management, caring practice promoting healing, and technical skills for diverse patient populations.
