M&A Associate – Clean Energy Advisory

Join a high-performing, entrepreneurial advisory firm at the forefront of the global energy transition.

Our client is a leading independent, employee-owned investment bank with deep sector expertise and a reputation for high-impact advisory across M&A, capital markets, and project finance. Their Clean Energy & Infrastructure team has seen sustained growth, driven by exceptional deal flow, repeat mandates, and a commitment to delivering best-in-class advice to clients worldwide.

This is a rare opportunity for an Associate with proven deal experience to join a close-knit, high-calibre team focused on energy transition, renewables, and infrastructure.

The Role

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in live transaction execution, client relationship management, and mentoring junior team members. You'll gain end-to-end exposure on deals, often working in lean teams alongside senior bankers.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading financial modelling and valuation for M&A and financing transactions across energy transition assets (renewables, energy storage, alternative fuels, carbon solutions, etc.)
* Preparing marketing and client materials including teasers, management presentations, and information memoranda
* Supporting due diligence processes, coordinating with advisors, and managing data rooms
* Conducting industry and company research to support pitches and execution
* Managing junior colleagues and contributing to their training and development
* Building strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a motivated, technically strong individual who thrives in a boutique-style, high-responsibility environment and brings a genuine interest in the clean energy space.

Requirements:

* 4–6 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, project finance, or transaction services with relevant energy/infrastructure exposure
* Strong financial modelling capabilities – able to build complex models from scratch and explain assumptions clearly
* Track record of transaction execution, ideally in energy, infrastructure or related sectors
* Commercial awareness of energy transition dynamics, technologies, and drivers
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; confident dealing with senior stakeholders
* Highly collaborative team player with strong attention to detail
* Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Mergermarket)
* Degree-qualified with strong academic credentials (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)

Why Join?

* Sector leadership: Join a top-tier team shaping the energy transition
* Client exposure: Direct access to C-suite decision makers from day one
* Responsibility: Take ownership on deals and gain real influence
* Culture: Entrepreneurial, close-knit, and collaborative
* Growth: Rapid personal and professional development
