Eden Scott's client is seeking a Assistant Deputy Manager to join their Commercial Services team, supporting the day-to-day operations that underpin their quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and client communication across their London and Edinburgh offices. As Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with teams across the Commercial business to ensure a world-class client experience while maintaining robust oversight of complaints, risk events, regulatory returns, and operational controls. This is an exciting opportunity to influence positive outcomes, streamline business processes, and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Oversee first-line Quality Assurance for Commercial complaints, ensuring regulatory compliance and a consistent, client-focused approach across all products. Support the management of the Risk Management Framework by identifying and analysing risk events, improving control effectiveness, and strengthening client safeguards. Assist with the accurate and timely completion of lending-related regulatory returns and client communications, including interest rate changes and annual loan statements. Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, control effectiveness, and data quality across the Commercial business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Banking, Operations, Risk, and Compliance, to align strategies, elevate client service, and implement the Training & Competence framework. Person Specification Experience in regulatory and compliance requirements within the banking sector. Knowledge of lending-related regulatory returns (e.g., PSD001/PSD007) - desirable. CeMAP qualification - desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex issues.
