Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Cambridge
£100 – £115 per day (PAYE) — Full-time | Term-time only
The Opportunity
Teaching Personnel is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified HLTA to support pupils’ learning, lead small group teaching, and cover whole-class sessions where required.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
* Provide targeted small group and 1:1 interventions to support pupil progress.
* Support the planning and assessment of learning activities alongside the class teacher.
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can succeed.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
What We’re Looking For
* HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience.
* A solid understanding of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2).
* Experience leading whole-class teaching.
* Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
* A flexible, proactive, and team-focused approach.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
