Offer description

About the Role

You will carry out a whole range of Pharmacy Logistics duties including processing medication stock orders, providing a ward top up service, replenishment of our automated medication storage cabinets at ward level, stock control, goods receiving/storekeeping and delivery of medication to our wards and departments. You will be expected to work effectively as part of our dedicated team. You should be willing to work in a flexible manner and be able to undertake the full remit of the role. Applicants must have an accurate and methodical approach to tasks as well as being conscientious, responsible and reliable, and have the ability to work using your own initiative as well as working as part of a team. Participation in the regular portering weekend rota and Bank Holidays are integral to this role.

Visa and Sponsorship

Applicants who are not UK or Republic of Ireland nationals will require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care Visa or a Skilled Worker Visa unless they already hold permission to work via another route. Prospective applicants should self-assess their eligibility for sponsorship by visiting the UK Government's Work in the UK guidance. For eligible candidates, the Health and Care Visa offers reduced application costs and exempts payment of the annual Immigration Health Surcharge. Please ensure you check your email regularly, as all recruitment correspondence will be sent to the email address provided on your application form.

Language

Applications are welcome in either Welsh or English, with no preference given to the language used. We reserve the right to close a vacancy early or withdraw an advertisement to accommodate the redeployment of internal staff into suitable roles. All posts are subject to relevant checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service check and, where required, Professional Registration verification. We are proud to be a Living Wage Employer.

Additional Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Pharmacy Assistants at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, working within our distribution, logistics and dispensary teams. The successful candidate will have evidence of a good standard of general education and have attained a GCSE grade C or above in Mathematics and English (or equivalent). If not already held, they will be willing to work towards achieving an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services within an agreed timescale, which will mean doing a proportion of work in your own time in order to achieve this.
