The Role
We seek a proactive, dynamic and forward-thinking Senior Project Manager with a passion for delivering brilliant work and embedding best practice processes.
You will play an integral role managing delivery across a number of high-profile, multi- faceted accounts, working closely with the Project Director and the wider delivery team to achieve project deliverables, in time and on budget.
You will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the strategic nature of each assigned project and have the ability to apply this to the project needs, thinking creatively about solutions that drive success and being responsible for owning the projects.
You will be detail orientated, driven and solution focused, with the ability to work collaboratively, actively building relationships with the wider team (consultants, project managers, producers, account management and creatives) ensuring everyone is working towards a shared goal.
You will be a skilled multi-tasker who can juggle several projects at once, managing your own workload and supporting task management across the wider team in relation to project deliverables.
You will have a positive, can-do attitude, and a passion for process, championing best practice across the business and striving for quality.
Key Skill Sets and Responsibilities
Your role will be to support the Project Director in the timely and successful delivery of all projects in your portfolio. You will work closely and in tandem with the Accounts Team to ensure that all projects are of the highest quality and meet the client brief.
* Project scoping – supporting in the scoping of deliverables, timings and costs of project proposals during pitch/planning stages.
* Project set up – supporting the rigorous set-up of projects including internal admin protocols, project timelines, production schedules, and resource management.
* Risk management - at the start of a project, analyse areas that could potentially throw delivery off-track, and where possible mitigate against them. Provide ongoing assessment of risk and advise on mitigation strategies where needed.
* Project management - confidently manage and take ownership of concurrent workstreams to deliver projects successfully against time and budget.
* People management – foster cohesive and collaborative relationships across internal and external teams including consultants, project managers, producers, account management and creatives to support a positive and productive working culture.
* Best-in-class delivery - develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of We Are Futures and client project tools and platforms. Be comfortable using digital workflow tools, communication tools (such as Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet etc.) and be a driving force in their use.
* Client communication – help instill trust and confidence with clients including guiding clients through development process, delivery milestones and project status. Provide ongoing checks and tracking of success against KPIs, updating the Project Director and Accounts Team on progress.
* Quality control - ensure the highest possible quality of content; sense checking against internal briefs and client objectives, ensuring client guidelines are followed, providing suggestions to further strengthen, and always pushing for excellence.
* Process champion - be a go-to person for agency processes, ensuring projects are delivered in the optimal way and agency process is always followed including ensuring the right people are involved at the right time, and sign off process is adhered to.
* Commercial management – ensure a clear grasp of the financial picture including time and budget recons. Be comfortable supporting the Project Director with all commercial aspects of project management including project scoping, budget planning, scope negotiation, revenue reporting, resource planning and forecasting.
Requirements
* Experience in management of the full project lifecycle ranging from client brief through strategy, creative, design, copywriting, asset creation, production, execution, and delivery.
* Strong track record delivering complex, multi-faceted projects and managing internal teams to deliver.
* Experienced in all aspects of project management including utilising a range of best-in-class project management tools.
* A proven background in project management within an agency setting.
* A proven track record of being the lead Project Manager within a team and be able to show effective people leadership.
* Experience in working in large multi-faceted project delivery team.
