Personal Wellbeing Advisor Salary: £27,783 Pro Rata (£16,669.80 for 22.5 hours) benefits. Contract: Permanent Part time Locations: Leicester City - Also covering Loughborough, Coalville and Melton as and when needed. As this role involves regular travel between these probation offices, access to transport is a requirement of the role. This is a part time role working 22.5 hours per week (to be agreed at interview stage) Rebuilding your life after sentencing is one of the toughest challenges a person can face. But with the right support, its possible. Thats where you come in. Were looking for a Personal Well-being Advisor - someone with a rare mix of compassion, resilience, organisation and flexibility. This is for the person who understands that rehabilitation isnt just about offering advice; its about rolling up your sleeves and pro-actively supporting someone on their journey. This is a demanding role; you'll be working in a challenging environment with people who have complex needs and who can be reluctant to engage. But when you help someone break the cycle and you see them take real steps toward transforming their life, its a great feeling. About the Role: You will support a caseload of service users that may have been previously released from prison, on a suspended sentence or on community orders. Based out of local probation offices you will be working collaboratively with pre-release teams, probation and other internal departments to support them on their journey. You will need to be able to juggle multiple individuals at once, ensuring each person gets the support they need, while keeping meticulous records of every interaction. You'll often be able to plan your own schedule, but you will need to be able to prioritise effectively - its a challenging role where no day will be the same. What Youll Be Doing: Assessments and Action Plans: You will complete personal wellbeing assessments and create tailored action plans for each individual you work with. Community-based support: You will guide individuals as per their action plan, helping them reintegrate through practical well-being activities, from housing and employment to mental health and social connections. Collaboration: Your intervention may be part of a wider support package so collaborating with internal and external colleagues is a key part of the role. Caseload management: Youll manage multiple individuals, balancing their needs while keeping up with all the related admin. Quality Recording: Keep thorough, up-to-date records of all your work on our IT systems, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and progress is properly tracked. Group & 121 Delivery: Deliver wellbeing support in various settings, either through tailored support sessions or utilising set interventions and learning materials. What Were Looking For: Relationship Building: Youre able to connect with people at all levels, engaging with key stakeholders within Probation and building relationships with Service Users in a way thats genuine, promotes a sense of trust and is non-judgmental, with particular attention to confidentiality and maintenance of boundaries. Service Ambassador: Regular engagement with relevant organisations to enhance their understanding of the service. Promoting the benefits of the service and identifying those who may want to be referred. Safeguarding awareness: You are supporting complex individuals at a challenging time in their lives and will need to be able to identify any safeguarding risks. You will be fully supported following any challenging interventions. IT and Administrative skills: Keeping meticulous records of every interaction to measure client progress and ensure effective interventions. Organisation: You can handle a busy caseload and stay on top of detailed records. Resilience: This role can be challenging, and results may take time, but you are the kind of person who stays committed and sees things through. Flexibility: Youll need to be comfortable with change, as referral flows change frequently. What We Offer: At Ingeus, we listen to our employees and have developed a benefits package that supports both your personal and professional well-being: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to trade for additional leave. EAP Support programme available 24/7, including 6 free counselling sessions. Private medical insurance and life assurance. Up to 2 days of Community Giving (volunteering) each year to support a cause that matters to you. Eyecare vouchers to help with glasses or eye care. Exclusive discounts via Perks at Work. Cycle to Work scheme and travel season ticket loan. Long service awards to celebrate your commitment. Salary Finance offering financial education and advice. The opportunity to purchase extra benefits like critical illness cover and dental insurance. Whilst we welcome applications from those with lived experience, this role requires an enhanced Level 1 DBS check. As we wait for the necessary background checks to be completed, youll have plenty of opportunities to shadow your colleagues, ask questions, and learn the ropes at your own pace. We want you to feel fully supported and confident before working independently. At Ingeus, our Justice division is dedicated to transforming lives and creating safer communities. We work alongside individuals on probation and those leaving prison to empower change, provide opportunities, and support rehabilitation. Our mission is to reduce reoffending, build stronger communities, and help people realise their potential.
