Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Procurement Assistant on behalf of our valued client. This Procurement Assistant opportunity is ideal for an individual who is confident, proactive, and able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. As the appointed Procurement Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the wider team and contributing to the smooth running of daily operations.
Location: Sittingbourne
Industry: Food Production
Salary: GBP26,000 - GBP30,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Full time, on-site
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours)
About the Role
* Supporting daily procurement and purchasing activities
* Raising and tracking purchase orders and supplier documentation
* Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and deliveries
* Maintaining accurate procurement records, contracts and stock data
* Supporting supply chain planning and cost control reporting
* Assisting with supplier performance reviews and audits
* Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and food industry standards
About You
* Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain support
* Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail
* Confident communicator with a professional approach
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office and ERP/stock systems
* Proactive, analytical and able to work to deadlines
* Must have the Right to Work in the UK
