Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Bar Manager to join our team at our holiday park in Felixstowe. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing daily bar operations, including staff management, inventory oversight, and ensuring top-tier customer service. The Bar Manager will lead by example, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while optimizing profitability through effective cost control, staff training, and customer engagement. The role also involves ensuring adherence to licensing laws and company policies, as well as fostering team motivation to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily bar operations on-site at the Felixstowe holiday park.
* Manage bar staff, including scheduling, training, and performance coaching.
* Monitor inventory levels and ordering to ensure availability and minimize waste.
* Ensure top-tier customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
* Drive profitability through cost control, pricing, and waste reduction initiatives.
* Enforce licensing laws and company policies to maintain compliance.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant bar environment.
* Foster team motivation and a positive work culture to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in staff leadership, team coordination, and personnel management
* Strong understanding of bar operations, including inventory management and compliance with licensing requirements
* Customer service excellence, communication skills, and the ability to create an inviting atmosphere
* Problem-solving abilities and understanding of health and safety standards
* Experience in the hospitality or leisure industry is a strong advantage
* Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts
* Level 2 Award for Personal License Holders (APLH) or willingness to obtain certification
* Basic financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control
