Streetworks Administrator / Planner
Future Build Recruitment is currently recruiting for a regional contractor who specialise in laying LV/HV cabling across road & highways schemes. If you are a Streetworks Administrator/Planner and you're looking to join a growing team and take ownership of all aspects related to Streetworks planning and permitting, this could be the role for you.
In this vital role, you will work closely with project managers, supervisors, and local authorities to ensure all works are accurately planned and fully compliant with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Project Managers in planning and scheduling works
Liaise with site managers, supervisors, and external stakeholders
Communicate with Highways Authorities, Traffic Management providers, and attend site meetings
Apply for Opening/Closing Streetworks Permits and Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs)
Organise suspensions for parking bays, bus stops, loading bays, and taxi ranks
Maintain accurate records of permit registrations, defects, and penalty fines
Ensure site teams are kept informed of current permit conditions and reference numbers
Maintain clear records to support the Commercial Department
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, though full training will be provided
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Confidence in preparing and delivering presentations and reports
Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
A safety-first mindset and ability to set a high standard for compliance and quality
