Key Responsibilities:
Manage Complex Caseloads: Work directly with children in care, carrying out assessments and developing intervention plans that comply with statutory requirements.
Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work alongside professionals from health, education, and legal sectors to provide comprehensive support to children.
Promote Permanency Planning: Support the search for stable and permanent solutions for children, such as reunification, adoption, or long-term fostering.
Ensure Legal Compliance: Adhere to the Children Act 1989, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal standards and maintaining accurate case records for reviews and court proceedings.
Skills & Qualifications:
Recognised Social Work Qualification: Must hold a Degree in Social Work, PGC in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or an equivalent qualification.
Registered with Social Work England: Active registration required throughout the duration of employment.
Post-Qualification Experience: Previous experience in children’s social work is preferred to bring practical insight into the role.
Assessment and Intervention Competence: Proven ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop actionable intervention plans.
Strong Communication & Organisational Skills: Essential for liaising with families, professionals, and representing cases in court.
