The Job

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing retail team, drive sales, and create memorable customer experiences while supporting the overall growth of our business.


What you'll be doing:

1. Taking the reins of the Retail Team, maximising sales opportunities across the site while maintaining high customer service standards. You'll be a key figure in ensuring we deliver outstanding customer experiences.
2. Working closely with the Branch Manager to drive sales performance and profitability, hitting key targets and helping achieve business goals.
3. Leading by example, ensuring every retail colleague is equipped to offer the best customer service and optimise sales opportunities. Your leadership will inspire the team to exceed expectations.
4. Championing talent within the team by providing coaching, support, and guidance to develop colleagues' skills. You'll foster a positive, engaging environment where career growth is encouraged.
5. Manage Stock & Debt: Work alongside the Retail Sales Manager and Inventory Manager to manage stock effectively, meet retail targets, minimise aged stock, and stay within credit policies by managing customer debt.
6. Ensure Operational Excellence: When the Branch Manager is away, you'll ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly operating procedures are followed, maintaining smooth operations across the branch.


Skills, Experience, and Qualities Required

Essential:

* A natural leader who motivates a team and drives performance.
* Strong commercial awareness, focusing on maximising sales and profitability.
* Passion for customer service with the ability to inspire your team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with coaching and development abilities.
* Experience in managing stock and customer debt, ensuring targets and policies are met.

Desirable:

* Agricultural experience.
* AMTRA RAMA qualification.
* IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
* Proficiency with Microsoft applications and full IT literacy.
* Experience with D365.
