3rd Line IT Engineer
York (3 days onsite / 2 days WFH)
£45,000 + benefits
12-month FTC (strong chance of going permanent)
We're working with a growing UK organisation looking to bring in a 3rd Line IT Engineer to support and strengthen their central IT function.
This is a great opportunity for someone stepping up from 2nd line or an established 3rd line engineer who enjoys a mix of hands-on support, infrastructure exposure, and project work.
What you'll be doing:
* Providing 3rd line support across a varied technical environment
* Owning and resolving complex incidents (including P1s)
* Monitoring infrastructure (backups, alerts, performance)
* Supporting cloud and on-prem environments
* Working closely with infrastructure and project teams
* Mentoring junior engineers and improving service delivery
* Acting as a key escalation point and technical SME

1. Strong experience in 2nd/3rd line support roles
2. Good knowledge across:
* Microsoft 365 / Azure AD
* Windows Server & Active Directory
* Networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)
* Virtualisation (VMware / Hyper-V)
