PR Executive
We are now seeking a PR Executive to join our central Brand & Communications team. This role supports the foundations from which we deliver all internal and external communications across our 32 offices nationally. It offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the voice of one of the UK’s leading regional professional services businesses.
Working within the Brand & Communications team, the PR Executive will support our team of Regional PR Managers across the country.
You will be part of a collaborative and collegiate team that is building relationships with journalists to ensure our story is heard in all the places it needs to be.
Key responsibilities
* Media relations – Supporting the development of relationships with journalists, editors and those that have the ear of relevant audiences.
* Writing press releases – Writing and distributing releases and media packs to announce news, events and updates.
* Media monitoring – Monitoring coverage, inbound media requests and identifying opportunities for key people in our business.
* Crisis communications – Supporting the delivery of crisis communication plans and responses.
* Campaigns – Working alongside the Brand & Communications team to plan and execute effective campaigns.
* Events and awards – Coordinating media attendance at our events and contributing to our entries at awards.
* Reporting – Measuring the effectiveness of PR efforts and compiling regular reports.
What you will bring to the role
This role is ideally suited to someone with media or PR experience who is well-organised, proactive, and confident - someone who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment, and takes pride in their work.
* Media or PR experience – prior experience as a journalist or in a press office is essential, with demonstrable experience of pitching to journalists and contributing to the execution of PR campaigns.
* Writing and editing experience – able to support the publication and maintenance of content across various formats and platforms.
* Technology-enabled – confident using digital tools and platforms (including websites, CMS systems and collaboration platforms) to engage and inform—while never losing sight of the importance of human connection and clarity.
* Attention to detail – strong proofreading and content editing capabilities to ensure accuracy and consistency across all outputs.
* Organised and adaptable – able to manage competing deadlines and projects with a calm, structured and forward-thinking approach.
* Collaborative approach – naturally builds relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders, front-line teams, and business services colleagues.
