Role Overview
To support the imaging modalities and other clinical staff within the Radiology Department by assisting with the reception and care of all patients. The role also includes carrying out a range of healthcare and clerical duties, in line with the post holder's competencies.
Responsibilities
* Support Clinical Care – Assist in the organisation, delivery, and evaluation of clinical care for patients within the department.
* Welcome and Orientation – Ensure patients and visitors are welcomed to the department and provide assistance with their orientation.
* Provide basic nursing care – Deliver basic nursing care within the limits of your competencies, including care for terminally ill, disabled, elderly, confused patients, and children.
* Communicate effectively with patients and relatives, referring any concerns to qualified nurses.
* Stay updated on current issues and policies within the Trust and department, and adhere to them.
* Use appropriate verbal and nonverbal communication methods to overcome physical and psychological barriers, support new and nervous patients.
* Assist in the day‑to‑day running of the department, supporting radiographers and other staff, and coordinate the running of the department in all specialties.
Additional Information
