We are recruiting for a Senior IT Supplier Specialist who will support the IT Leadership team by ensuring that our suppliers and partners are managed effectively and that we are maximising value from the relationships. The role holder will operate as an SME within the IT function, working closely with our procurement, legal, information security and operational resilience teams to ensure that our IT Supplier contracts are fit for purpose and represent the requirements of IT for the services provided. They are responsible for creating, improving and optimising value from our suppliers as well as providing assurance, governance and compliance related to service, risk, commercial and cyber. Their actions ensure third party suppliers are governed appropriately, allowing Skipton Building Society to achieve ambitious business and technical goals, while reducing supply chain risk. You will report into the Senior IT Service Delivery within the IT department, which is part of the broader Technology, Transformation and Resilience function of around 400 technology professionals

What Will You Be Doing?
You will work in support of the Senior IT Leaders to ensure that IT applies best practice and governance in its management of suppliers. There are a large number of IT suppliers and many of these provide critical services to the organisation. You will be responsible for understanding and translating central procurement and SRM policies and frameworks into actionable processes and reporting. You will need to ensure that appropriate relationship management, performance monitoring, risk monitoring and value tracking is implemented effectively and reported on. A comprehensive understanding of requirements and the ability to translate those into contractual terms will be needed for the onboarding or renewal of third party services.
You will also:
12. Support effective Supplier Relationship meetings by ensuring relevant data is available to evidence supplier performance, driving actions or improvement plans where required.
13. Ensuring service and contract obligations are understood and adhered to on an ongoing basis, and supported by detailed evidence (reports, meetings and minutes) in line with policy.
14. Identify and drive any value add services that could be obtained from partners and suppliers.
15. Work closely with Legal, Procurement, Operational Resilience and Information Security teams to ensure IT contracts are fit for purpose and cover all necessary regulatory obligations.
16. Identify if changes may be required to third-party categorisation, risk assessment and management processes, due to the potential or actual impact of any incidents.
17. Be responsible for any necessary reporting of IT supplier performance or risk as required.
18. Own any contracts or schedules associated with providing internal IT services to group companies, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
19. Keep abreast of industry best practice and bring relevant information into IT and wider stakeholders.
20. Represent IT where required at business led supplier meetings ensuring any considerations for technology are understood and reported back into IT.
What Do We Need From You?
You will need experience of the technology environment and service management processes, and a track record in how to monitor, measure and report on suppliers to ensure that all risks and opportunities are understood and managed. Any experience of supplier/third party risk, cyber /information security, commercial, contractual or legal practices would also be an advantage. You will be a self starter and feel confident to represent IT and establish credibility as an SME within function and to wider stakeholders. You will need to be:
