Salary: up to £43,000 + Zones 1–2 Travelcard + Overtime
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
The Opportunity
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join one of the fastest-growing maintenance providers in London and the South East.
As a Cover Engineer, you'll work across a portfolio of high-end commercial office buildings, stepping in during planned and unplanned absences (e.g. holidays, sickness) of site-based engineers. You'll also assist with quoted works and tenant maintenance projects. This role offers variety, autonomy, and clear progression into senior roles such as Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide engineering support across multiple commercial office sites
* Carry out both electrical and mechanical PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance
* Support tenant and project works, ensuring smooth delivery of additional services
* Manage and liaise with subcontractors for specialist services
* Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including:
* Fire alarms
* Emergency lighting
* Water treatment
* HVAC systems, including AHUs and FCUs
* Complete reports, logbooks, and assist with monthly compliance documentation
* Occasionally work out-of-hours or attend call-outs (where applicable)

* Basic Salary: up to £43,000 (depending on experience)

What We're Looking For
* City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Previous experience in commercial building maintenance
* Good understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance
* Confident, client-facing, and reliable with strong communication skills
* Willing to travel within Zones 1–2 and work semi-static across key sites
