Registration Officer (6 month temporary contract)
Grade 6, £28,598 - £31,022 (pro‑rated). 3 days a week (including Saturdays) on a 6‑month temporary contract. Attendance for some Sundays and bank holidays may be required.
Location: Various – Dudley Register Office (Priory Hall), Stourbridge Registration Office (Thomas Robinson Building), Coseley Family Hub, Stourbridge Family Hub, approved premises and registered buildings within the borough.
Responsibilities:
* Register marriages and civil partnerships and officiate ceremonies.
* Provide non‑statutory services including naming and renewal of vows ceremonies.
* Register births and deaths and take notices of marriage.
* Attend marriages/civil partnerships at approved premises and registered buildings.
* Attend birth registration at Family Hubs.
* Work from both locations and adapt to changing demands of the service.
Qualifications & skills:
* Previous registration experience.
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
* Excellent customer‑care skills and keen eye for accuracy.
* Flexible team player, able to adapt to different roles and tasks, willing to work on short notice.
