Are you passionate about the world of hair and beauty? Do you enjoy supporting others in a dynamic, creative environment? We’re looking for a dedicated Salon Assistant to join our Hair & Beauty team and help shape the next generation of industry professionals.
This exciting role will include: As a Salon Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting teachers and instructor technicians in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences. You’ll help maintain a safe, professional salon environment and ensure students are equipped and ready to succeed.
Responsibilities
* Supervise students in practical sessions, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
* Monitor and enforce the use of correct PPE.
* Support lecturers with student progress tracking and behaviour management.
* Assist with student enrichment activities, including off-site visits.
* Prepare and maintain salon equipment, materials, and consumables.
* Ensure cleanliness and hygiene across all salon areas, including laundry duties.
* Manage stock levels, locker facilities, and workshop resources.
* Maintain accurate records for health and safety, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
* Promote safeguarding and equality practices across all activities.
Dates, Location & Salary

College location: Based at our Eastbourne Campus
Annual salary: Circa £24,600 (Actual. £22,060) (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: 37 hours, Term Time Only (TTO), 40 weeks per year
