Linde Material Handling recruits apprentices across the UK each year. During the programme you will receive hands-on experience while studying for a nationally recognised qualification. Linde Material Handling & The KION Group is a global engineering company with a presence in around 100 countries.
Linde Material Handling is currently looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Engineer, field based in the Redditch area. You should be passionate about engineering, keen to learn, motivated to achieve success, and eager to join a multinational engineering company as part of the next generation of engineers.
Responsibilities
* Commit to a three-year training and development programme until you become a fully qualified Service Engineer and are awarded a Level 3 apprenticeship in Lift Truck & Powered Access Engineering.
* Receive support from a dedicated Mentor and an Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) who will monitor training through college study and on-the-job learning.
* Learn to inspect, maintain, service and repair material handling equipment including forklift trucks and warehouse equipment.
* Travel to college and stay overnight for blocks of learning time (location details confirmed at offer). Travel to and from college, accommodation and meals will be funded.
* On successful completion, become a fully qualified Linde engineer and start a career with a market leader.
* Attend all required training courses (internal and external) and pass knowledge block tests at college.
* Pass End Point Assessment for Level 3 in Lift Truck & Powered Access Engineering and complete internal assessments on safety, product knowledge, and the use of diagnostic equipment.
* Complete online tests and end point assessments by deadlines, with up to two resits allowed.
* Maintain your e-Portfolio on time and to the standards agreed by the college and ADO.
* Work closely with the training organisation to achieve your qualification and progress to competent preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a wide range of Linde products.
Apprenticeship Programme Details
* Apprenticeship structure combines practical on-the-job training with study for a nationally recognised qualification. Apprentices are paid a wage and may gain a professional qualification and permanent role on completion.
* Programmes include practical on-the-job training, study for a nationally recognised qualification, and a wage.
* Desirable working conditions: 40-hour week, overtime opportunities for apprentices aged 18 and over, 25 days annual leave, option to join the company pension scheme, and a discount scheme with access to deals from major UK brands.
* World-class Linde product training, full uniform and PPE supplied, starter toolbox and tools provided, and full forklift driver licence training.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Ideally GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English (predicted grades if undertaking GCSEs) or a National 5 in Scotland.
* Interest in engineering and technology.
* Essential: Full UK Driver's Licence.
