The Role
The school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role with the potential to lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful candidate will support students with a range of special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum, achieve their personal and academic goals, and thrive in school life.
Key Responsibilities

Support students with special educational needs in the classroom, individually and in small groups.
*
Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to student needs.
*
Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
*
Monitor, record, and report on student progress to teachers and other relevant staff.
*
Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to support learning and development.
*
Provide support with personal care or other needs when required, ensuring dignity and wellbeing.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
*
Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
*
In-date, clean Enhanced DBS (Children & Adults) certificate.
*
Experience working with students aged 11–19, ideally in a SEN environment.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
*
Minimum Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
*
Experience supporting students with a wide range of special educational needs.
