Overview
An industry regulatory body is undergoing a significant digital transformation and seeking a Lead Developer to drive this forward and join its IT Development team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented group of developers in designing, customising, and integrating Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions that drive operational excellence and innovation across the business.
You’ll play a key role in shaping the technical direction of the organisation’s digital systems, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that support business-critical functions. This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines technical delivery, team mentorship, and solution architecture within a modern cloud-first environment.
The Role
* Lead and mentor a team of 5, overseeing the design, development, and integration of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
* Manage the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through to build, testing, and deployment.
* Oversee the development of complex and mission-critical applications in a Microsoft Azure environment.
* Support upgrades, maintenance, and optimisation of PowerApps and related cloud platforms.
* Drive automation and build CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps practices.
* Identify and manage technical risks, incidents, and performance issues.
* Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing across all projects.
Skills & Experience
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM modules and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
* Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or other CI/CD tools.
* Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within a development team.
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and leading agile sprints.
* Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
