Overview
This is an opportunity for a pro-active PBS & Physical Intervention Trainer to join an evolving care company and to be part of our team.
Responsibilities
* Deliver face to face RRN accredited training programmes outlined by NAPPI UK to support maintaining our organisational training compliance.
* Equip teams with the skills and knowledge to manage behavior safely, respectfully, and within legal and organisational guidelines.
* Promote the use of proactive strategies to minimise the use of restrictive practices and ensure the safety and well-being of staff and people we support.
* There is an expected delivery of 3-4 days’ worth of training per week with a day to complete administrative tasks.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 5 qualification in PBS or equivalent/above (or willing to complete).
* Professional experience working with children and/or adults with Autism and learning disabilities and behaviors of concern.
* 1 year of working in a PBS role or equivalent.
* In-depth knowledge of support needs of people with Autism, learning disabilities and mental health disorders.
* Sound understanding of PBS, Active Support, Mental Capacity and how this is used to inform practice.
