Our Farm We are a family-run business, farming 500ha close to the market town of Chichester. Our dairy herd consists of 700 TMR-fed Holsteins which are milked twice a day through a 20/40 parlour, with all their milk supplied to M&S via Muller. The herd are grazing throughout the summer and is calved all year round, with all our records and data kept up to date using Uniform. We have invested in all our equipment and facilities, with more future plans to invest and develop the business. You will be joining an active full time team of 8, who share our passion and love for cows. Your Role As a Herdsperson, you will work closely with the senior team to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day dairy operation. Your roles and responsibilities will include. Milking daily to a high standard, keeping the parlour clean and tidy. Spotting and treating illnesses TMR feeding using a feeder wagon, utilising technology to ensure rations are correct and allocating the correct feed Daily management of the herd ensuring animal welfare is your top priority. Supporting with dry cow management, calving cows and colostrum protocols.
