Konecranes is a world-leading group of Lifting Businesses, serving a broad range of customers including manufacturing and process industries, shipyards, ports and terminals. Konecranes provides productivity enhancing lifting solutions as well as services for lifting equipment of all makes.
Our business is divided into three Business Areas - Service, Industrial Equipment and Port Solutions - each contributing approximately one-third of Group sales.
Evolution of our Business Areas
Three Business Areas
Service - strong growth in digitalization enables the business to continue evolve from preventive maintenance towards predictive and prescriptive maintenance. We also continue to tap the multi-year growth potential largely created by the large installed base of Demag.
Industrial Equipment - the business has already come a long way from old conventional cranes and continues to develop further towards more comprehensive material handling solutions by leveraging automation and other modern technologies.
Port Solutions - automation is already reality in many container terminals. That said, in many ways the industry is still in the beginning of the automation journey. With the widest and deepest offering including equipment and a full range of software and services, we are in an excellent position to develop the automation systems of tomorrow based on our customers’ needs.

Our position as the biggest player in lifting industry allows technology platforms to scale up and in return, capitalize on resulting economics.
