We are seeking a highly motivatedPharmacy IT Systems Lead Technician manager to join our dynamic EPMA team inPharmacy. In this role, you will play a key role in the ongoing digitaltransformation of pharmacy department.
About the Role
Collaborate with the BHNFT digital teamto lead the further implementation of theEPMA system across the Trust.
Leverage your expertise in IT systemsmanagement to oversee the successful rollout and training of the EPMA system.
Expert with drug file and coding tomaintain all pharmacy digital systems including
Work closely with the ICT projectteam to ensure seamless integration with existing systems embedded in the Trust(System C, Ommicell, Pyxis and PTS5.

Digital Responsibilities
To support the Clinical Pharmacist EPMA Lead in the delivery of Clinical Informatics forBarnsley Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring that Pharmacy IT follows a strategic direction in supporting all aspects of the pharmacy business.
Be responsible for the ongoing management of Pharmacy IT Systems including CMM EPMA and PSC), Omnicell and Pyxis.
Be responsible for supplier liaison, systemconfiguration, testing and workflow changes for all pharmacy IT systems.
To Lead andmanage the 'Business as Usual' element of the role, involving generalmaintenance of the order catalogue.
To oversee andresolve problems for CMM EPMA and PSC systems.
To ensure that there are safe and adequatecontingency systems in place in the event of system failure for all Pharmacy ITsystems including EPMA.
To ensure thatpharmacy data quality is maintained at a high level.
To ensure TrustStandards for accountability, integrity and security of Clinical systems aremet.
To directly manage day to day the EPMA Pharmacy technician team
To deputise forthe Clinical Pharmacist EPMA Lead.
Pharmacy Responsibilities
To attend appropriate training courses for technicians, toencourage other staff to undertake further training and to participate in suchtraining schemes as necessary to keep relevant pharmaceutical clinical andtechnical knowledge up to date.
To undertakeany other related duties, which may be required as part of non-digital pharmacyduties.

Experience
* Experience working in pharmacy within an acute hospital.
* Understanding of clinical risk management.
* Understanding of Trust mandatory performance measures
* Experience of using clinical information systems.
* Broad knowledge of EPMA new technologies and the application in healthcare.
* Able to work successfully with internal and external stakeholders.
* Broad understanding of medication safety principles
* Project Management
Knowledge and Awareness
* Understanding of the need for confidentiality
* Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH and Data Protection Act

Qualifications
* Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent
* Extended role checking technician (or fulfills the criteria to undertake training)
* Educated to diploma level in an IT related subject or equivalent experience.
