We are seeking a Senior Systems Modelling / Mission Analyst to support the development of Orbex Prime. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the system modelling toolchain, performing analysis and trade studies to support design decisions, and contributing to the overall technical direction of the programme.
Key Responsibilities Develop, improve, and maintain system modelling tools and simulation frameworks.
Perform system-level analyses and trade-offs to support design and architecture decisions.
Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
1. Qualifications and Experience (Required) Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace or Space Engineering (or related discipline).
Proven industry experience (4 years+) in MATLAB/Simulink and/or programming languages such as C, C++, Fortran, or Java.
Experience developing and maintaining models of physical systems and system functionalities.
Ability to write structured, maintainable, and well-documented code, with an understanding of version control practices.
Demonstrable understanding and use of numerical solvers Demonstrable understanding of flight dynamics and orbital mechanics Desirable Experience (Not essential but beneficial) Significant industry experience in MATLAB/Simulink and/or programming languages such as C, C++, Fortran, or Java for complex systems modelling and/or mission analysis Proven experience working with launch vehicles, rocket systems or systems for Space. Trajectory optimization experience.
Significant familiarity with GMAT, STK, or similar analysis tools.
