Key Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
• Perform reactive maintenance and PPM on machinery to ensure reliability.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to prevent issues.
• Prioritise engineering tasks in line with night shift production needs.
• Maintain health & safety and food safety compliance while working in controlled environments.
• Record maintenance activity in the CMMS and keep documentation up to date.
• Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
• Keep engineering areas clean, organised, and safe.
• Manage spare parts and tools, ensuring availability and maintenance standards.
Requirements:
Qualifications
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
• Completed apprenticeship or recognised engineering training preferred
Experience
• 3+ years’ experience in engineering roles
• 2+ years’ experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
• Skilled in PPM, breakdown repairs, and fault finding
• Familiarity with production machinery and plant equipment
