Principal / Senior Civil Engineer – Water Sector

Location: Rickmansworth (site based + hybrid)
I’m working with a long-standing client delivering major capital works in the UK water sector. As their AMP8 programme gets underway, they’re looking to bring in a Principal or Senior Civil Engineer to help lead the design delivery across multiple water and wastewater treatment schemes (c. £400M total programme value).
If you’ve got solid water industry experience and want to play a key role in a high performing engineering team, this is well worth a conversation.
The Role
You’ll sit within the design team and lead civil design input on a range of live and upcoming projects. That includes:
Developing detailed design layouts that are buildable and cost effective
Supporting proposals and bids with technical input
Coordinating across disciplines to ensure smooth delivery
Ensuring compliance with CDM and H&S legislation
Supporting junior engineers and contributing to design standards
What They’re Looking For
Background in civil engineering design (structures, geotechnics, hydraulics)
Experience in water and/or wastewater treatment
Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015, CESWI, BS, and WIMES
Confident producing rationalised designs and economic layouts
Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
Chartered or working toward chartership (ICE or equivalent)
Able to communicate technical proposals clearly and effectively
UK driving licence
