Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker – Lancaster
Rotherwood Cares are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join their solo children’s residential service in Lancaster.
Salary: £32,644 – £34,824 per annum (including sleep-ins)
Hours: 2 days on / 4 days off, including sleep-in shifts (rotas provided in advance)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Essential Requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (or working towards it)
* Experience in a children’s residential setting (essential)
* Supervisory or team-leading experience (desirable)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Must be over 21 (industry regulations)
The Role:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the home. This solo service provides therapeutic placements in a smaller setting, supporting young people with domestic needs, education, socialisation, and recreational activities. Responsibilities include:
* Building positive relationships with children, families, and professionals
* Supporting care plans and helping young people achieve their goals
* Leading and mentoring junior colleagues during shifts
* Promoting a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
* Encouraging development, independence, and resilience in young people
* Maintaining accurate care records with professionalism
