What will you be doing as our new Project Solutions Manager?
The Vacancy
Binnies, an RSK Group Company, is looking for a Project Solutions Manager (Water) to join us as part of our @one Alliance. You will work on a diverse programme of water projects, including infrastructure and non-infrastructure, water treatment, and storage.
You will lead the development of project solutions, focusing on outcomes that reduce carbon, protect natural capital, address climate change, and embrace innovations and digital technologies.
Key Accountabilities:
* Collaborate with the Senior Solutions Manager to identify and plan resources for solution generation and selection.
* Develop Solutions Stage Project Plans, including programmes and budgets, ensuring alignment with Anglian Water. Monitor progress and assist with performance reporting.
* Manage data production and assessment of solution options, record reasons for rejections, and ensure objective reasoning during workshops.
* Engage with project teams and Anglian Water to communicate progress and facilitate acceptance of solutions.
* Lead the production of @one Solutions Stage deliverables.
* Support solution review meetings to assess confidence and certainty for efficient delivery.
* Support stakeholder engagement and escalation within Anglian Water if needed.
Develop Solutions:
* Understand project outcomes and collaborate with subject matter experts on root cause analysis and data assessment.
* Assess the value of additional data if gaps are found.
* Coordinate with delivery teams to develop viable solutions addressing affordability, design, sustainability, procurement, and operations.
* Support teams in assessing solution certainty and confidence.
Health & Safety:
* Assist the Technical Manager in producing design risk assessments per CDM regulations.
People/Team Development:
* Create an inclusive, positive work environment.
* Build strong relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
Transformation:
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement.
* Identify ways to reduce carbon and enhance natural capital.
* Support process and team improvements, integrating lessons learned and innovations.
To succeed, you should have a degree in engineering, experience in water-sector assets and capital projects, and preferably experience in a Design and Build environment. You should demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and ethical conduct, with the ability to manage activities efficiently and support team development.
