We are seeking a Commercial Manager to lead and manage post-contract activities across various contracts. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, mitigating risks, and delivering value aligned with our strategic objectives. The Commercial Manager will serve as a key liaison among legal, sales, delivery, procurement, and finance teams, ensuring that business objectives are met with minimal legal and contractual exposure.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Lead contract management and negotiation, including preparation of statements of work for governance approval.
* Collaborate with internal teams to achieve strategic goals and ensure compliance with governance policies.
* Maintain and manage contract documentation, including creating and managing templates for Statements of Work (SOWs), change orders, and other agreements.
* Deliver contractually required reporting and participate in customer meetings to ensure continuous alignment and compliance.
* Stay updated on IT law, data protection (e.g., GDPR), and commercial legislation to advise and guide the team effectively.
* Support and develop members of the Contract Management team, ensuring high standards of contract management practices are maintained.
* Engage with the Legal & Commercial team early in contract negotiations to agree on strategy and address key legal issues, and during contract delivery to manage any contractual disputes or delays.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in leading contract management and negotiations.
* Strong ability to collaborate with multiple internal teams to meet strategic objectives.
* Thorough knowledge of IT law, data protection regulations like GDPR, and commercial legislation.
* Excellent organizational skills to maintain contract documentation and compliance.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and support the Contract Management team.
* Must have DV Clearance in place.
