The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires keen observational skills, a proactive approach to loss prevention, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
Responsibilities
* Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect and prevent suspicious activities.
* Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
* Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
* Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
* Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
* Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure that emergency protocols are followed.
* Liaise with local law enforcement when required and assist in investigations as needed.
* Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
* Familiarity with CCTV systems is advantageous.
* Certification in first aid is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
* Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
