Overview
Your role is pivotal at the intersection of technology, data, and service delivery. You will advance the development of waste‑management IT systems, support online reporting tools for residents, and provide analytical insights that enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop, upgrade, and maintain waste‑management IT systems, working closely with contractors, software providers, and internal teams to deliver robust, user‑friendly solutions.
- Design and maintain performance‑reporting frameworks, including Power BI dashboards, KPI monitoring, trend analysis, and service‑trend identification to inform decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Lead system upgrades, software integrations, and liaise with third‑party providers to implement technical solutions.
- Engage stakeholders – contractors, internal teams, and external partners – to deliver system and service improvements.
- Support GIS mapping, API development, and digital self‑service platforms to advance channel‑shift initiatives.
- Apply knowledge of financial reconciliation processes, especially for income‑generating services such as commercial collections.
- Manage small‑to‑medium projects, delivering outcomes on time, within scope, and in line with corporate standards.
- Collaborate effectively with the other member of the job share, demonstrating excellent teamwork and communication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing and developing IT systems, ideally in waste management or similar operational services.
- Competence in developing and delivering performance‑reporting frameworks and using tools such as Power BI.
- Hands‑on experience with system upgrades, software integrations, and liaising with third‑party providers.
- Strong stakeholder‑engagement skills, working with contractors, internal teams, and external partners.
- Familiarity with GIS mapping, API development, and digital self‑service platforms.
- Understanding of financial reconciliation processes for income‑generating services.
- Experience in project management of small‑to‑medium projects, delivering outcomes within time, scope, and corporate standards.
Work arrangements
Hybrid working with flexibility for homeworking and office‑based days. The role is open to flexible working patterns and hours.
