Location: North Somerset, site-based with hybrid Contract: Currently approved until 31dec25 Status: Inside IR 35 Morson Talent have an opportunity for a CAD Engineer to join our client's established site based team for work associated with a nuclear new build project in Somerset. The role is offered on a contract basis, inside IR35 - with current approval in place until 31 December. Further extension will be subject to project requirement. Job Purpose / Overview The Digital Drawing Engineer is responsible for producing digital drawings in Construction Support Services within the quality standards of the Project. The Digital Drawing Engineer supports the design change management during the construction. They will collect and consolidate information from the site contractors in order to issue As-Built models or drawings for the Client organisation. The Digital Drawing Engineer will interface with the relevant stakeholders to perform the work allocated. Principal Accountabilities Produce 2D drawings and 3D models comply with project quality procedures be able to react to delays which could impact the overall programme create detailed documented records and maintain them to ensure clarity of the process and outcomes inform on the progress of the work allocated help with resolution of issues use SET model and drawing management system, tools and procedures Commit to use the project BIM standards Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Knowledge, Skills Can explain relevant provisions of legislation and code of practice and how they impact on business arrangement Monitors progress against the plan. Aware of process fundamentals, e.g. finance, business planning Aware of RD framework Has knowledge of station systems/components pertinent to technical area. Meets professional body’s IPD requirements. Takes delegated responsibility for the production of parts of technical documents, delivers work within deadline of a high standard. Produces graphics for documents which clearly illustrates the subject matter, contributing to clarity and shared understanding. Qualifications & Experience Essential Experience in design, drafting and/or construction working in a drawing office Knowledge of current 2D and 3D tools: AutoCAD, Civil 3D Knowledge of orthographic projection, plans, sections, elevations & details Knowledge of drawing revision/issuing control and procedures Be able to interpret sketches from engineers to produce working drawings/models Accuracy, tenacity, diplomacy, results-oriented and a team player good presentation/communication skills. Desirable Understanding of Contract Management, particularly NEC Experience of developing technical solutions, with design decisions validated through design interface
