About The Role:
We're looking for a confident and capable Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and strong leadership. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or finalist-level accountant ready to take ownership of core financial processes and lead a small team to success.
Key Responsibilities
As part of your role, your core duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Leading and managing a small team of Assistant Management Accountants (AMAs), ensuring high-quality outputs and professional development.
* Taking full ownership of the balance sheet, including monthly reviews and reconciliations.
* Producing and reviewing month-end results in collaboration with the wider business partnering team.
* Processing accruals and prepayments in line with financial principles and operational inputs.
* Conducting and challenging balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity.
* Interrogating the fixed asset register and ensuring correct capitalisation and depreciation.
* Tracking and reconciling cash transactions across the business.
* Building strong relationships across Finance and operational teams to improve data quality and reporting.
* Supporting continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and commercial awareness. You should be:
* Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a credible finalist with strong experience in management accounting.
* Experienced in working within medium to large organisations, ideally operating in a Corporate environment.
* A confident leader with the ability to delegate effectively, manage performance, and develop team members.
* Skilled in planning and diary management, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet critical deadlines.
* Proficient in Advanced Excel and experienced with ERP systems throughout your career.
* Comfortable challenging financial data and assumptions, with a strong understanding of what "good" looks like in areas such as balance sheet integrity, fixed assets, and payroll reconciliations.
* A clear and professional communicator, both via email and phone.
* Eligible to work in the UK (Right to Work required).
