Housing is a top priority for Hackney. The Council is responsible for the homes of a significant proportion of residents living in the borough, representing approximately 23,000 tenanted and 9,000 leasehold properties. The Cabinet approved our Housing Improvement Plan to improve the quality of the homes we are responsible for and the services we provide. We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to work with teams across Housing services to drive service excellence. The role will contribute to measuring performance, understanding trends, and supporting improvement actions.
Over the past year we have bedded in a new performance management dashboard. A key part of the role will be the ongoing liaison with service managers to understand performance trends, raise challenges, identify improvement priorities and develop / support the implementation of improvement action plans.
Working within the Housing Transformation team, you will monitor data analysis across various teams, such as Building Maintenance, Tenancy Management, Homeownership, Property and Asset Management and Building Safety. You will also perform in-depth ad-hoc data analysis to provide insights on performance and drive improvement projects.
To excel in this position, you will have a track record of delivering high-quality performance reports within tight deadlines, experience in carrying out complex data analysis, strong ICT skills / system knowledge, and the ability to support service improvement. You will need excellent communication skills to build effective working relationships up to director level, challenge performance, and communicate trends with colleagues at all levels.
A knowledge and understanding of benchmarking processes and practices is required, together with experience using programmes such as SQL, QlikSense, GIS – MapInfo. Experience in Housing is desirable but not essential.
