A well-established and fast-growing timber and building materials supplier is seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to join its leadership team near Bedford.

The Opportunity
This is a permanent, full-time, office-based role suited to a commercially driven sales professional with strong knowledge of the timber, joinery, or construction merchant market .
You will play a key role in driving revenue, developing customer relationships, and expanding the product offering across timber and building materials. Working closely with senior leadership and an established sales team, youll take ownership of accounts, manage projects end-to-end, and support the introduction of new and innovative products into the market.
Key Responsibilities
Grow and develop the customer base
Maximise sales and profitability across timber and building products
Build, manage, and strengthen long-term customer relationships
Manage sales activity and projects through a CRM system
Utilise strong timber and joinery product knowledge to add value to customers
About You
Proven experience selling into the merchant, building, or construction sector
Strong background in sales and business development (management experience advantageous)
Sound knowledge of timber and joinery products ( essential )
Proactive, commercially minded, and customer-focused
Comfortable working in a fast-paced but supportive office environment
Full UK driving licence required
Package & Benefits
Salary: £35,000 £40,000 DOE
OTE: £65,000+
