Overview
Lead Gas Engineer role within Cadent's Emergency Response Team. You’ll be the first on the scene at customers\' homes, as the face of our brand for people worried about potential gas escapes or carbon monoxide activated alarms.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to emergencies and, when required, work with emergency services on behalf of our customers, helping to protect lives and support vulnerable individuals.
* Perform a varied range of tasks including installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters for home and business customers.
* Conduct high-rise and gas safety regulation surveys and fit cooker safety valves.
Experience and Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* CCN1 or CMA1 qualification is required to apply. MET1 qualification is beneficial but not essential.
* Experience in a gas environment with good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and commissioning of pipework.
* Understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ultimately, pride, purpose, ability to think on your feet and take ownership are essential to fit in our team.
