Responsibilities
* Sign off question papers for learners in Primary and Lower Secondary exam series.
* Work with Development colleagues to manage syllabus design and deliver all stages of a portfolio of syllabuses.
* Oversee production of all assessment materials associated with the syllabuses to ensure successful delivery for learners.
* Develop and sign off question papers, grade papers, and set thresholds that determine grades.
* Ensure all question papers are 100% accurate, error free, assess what they are intended to assess, and maintain comparability from series‑to‑series, year‑to‑year, and fairness for candidates from different countries and backgrounds.
* Manage recruitment of Assessment Specialists (Setters, Revisers, Vetters, and Principal Examiners) and teams of examiners.
* Contribute to capacity building for the future and collaborate with ministry partners worldwide to develop and revise syllabuses.
* Work in a hybrid role, spending 40‑60% of time collaborating face‑to‑face at a dedicated location.
Qualifications
* Degree in Science or a closely aligned Science subject.
* High standard of English and knowledge of assessment in an educational setting.
* Teaching or project management experience; experience as an examiner or knowledge of international education is desirable.
* Post‑graduate qualification in educational assessment, educational project management, or experience as an examiner is an advantage.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to hybrid work arrangements.
