Role description
To support growth in our engineering team, we are looking for a
Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
(with electrical bias) to work at our production site in Bingley, West Yorkshire.
Habasit is a world-leading manufacturer of conveyor and power transmission systems, and the belts we make in Bingley are shipped all over the world to customers from a variety of industries.
Our on-site engineering team work hard to ensure that breakdowns are rare and are addressed promptly, and that scheduled maintenance can be carried out with limited impact on production.
Your main challenges
* Diagnose and resolve a wide range of mechanical and electrical faults in a hands-on maintenance role
* Respond to breakdowns safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime
* Manage external contractors on-site and ensure compliance with safety standards
* Contribute to scheduled maintenance and project work across the facility
* Work at height and handle heavy loads using appropriate tools and safety measures
* Source and order parts/tools with a focus on cost-effectiveness and sustainability
What we look for
* Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment
* Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
* Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in all tasks
* Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments (e.g. production, planning, warehouse)
* Initiative to research and solve technical challenges independently
* Health & Safety qualification (desirable but not essential)

* Full-time, permanent position with structured rota:
* Early shift: 6:00–14:00 (five days)
* Late shift: 12:00–22:00 (four days)
* Saturday mornings paid at 1.5x rate (2x for over 4 hours during busy periods)
