A leading sustainability, energy, and net zero design consultancy is looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to join its London-based team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative and growing consultancy that provides both strategic and technical advice across the built environment, helping clients optimise their sustainability performance and transition towards net zero.
The Role
The successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems across a range of sustainable and low-carbon projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, supporting projects from concept through to completion while ensuring energy-efficient and environmentally responsible solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical building services systems (HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation)
Contribute to sustainable and low-carbon design strategies
Support energy modelling and performance analysis
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Assist in delivering projects from concept through to completion
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and sustainability standardsRequirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Experience within a consultancy environment (building services / MEP)
Understanding of sustainable design principles and low-carbon technologies
Familiarity with relevant design software (e.g. IES, Revit, Hevacomp, or similar)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
