Job Title: Mandarin / English Part-time PhD Tutor (Preferably in Marketing, Law, Music, Art and Media) – Remote
Contract Type: Casual / Self-employed
Working Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
Location: Remote
Salary: £15 - £60 per piece dependent upon assignment
Overall Purpose of the Job:
Provide one-to-one research proposal tutorial, guiding students to complete their research proposals/essays at PhD level
The key tasks include but are not limited to:
1. Giving advice and suggestions on research topic.
2. Coaching and supporting students on research proposals/academic essays.
3. Assisting with the preparation of reading lists and other materials.
4. Acting as a Personal Tutor (providing personalised academic advice to students).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experiences
5. You must be studying towards a PhD degree as a Year 2 student or above; or be a lecturer (Preferably in Marketing, Law, Music Art and Media).
6. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Sufficient knowledge of the discipline/topics under discussion.
8. Understanding of the basic principles of teaching.
9. Proficiency in both spoken and written Mandarin Chinese is essential for this role.
