SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

Milk Education Liverpool is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a secondary school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people with additional needs reach their full potential.
We are looking for someone who is confident, patient and committed to making a positive impact on pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
2. Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and tailored intervention work
3. Helping pupils to engage, focus and build confidence
4. Working collaboratively with the SENCO and wider school team
5. Providing emotional and pastoral support where needed
Essential Requirements
6. UK school-based experience is essential (secondary preferred)
7. Experience supporting young people with SEN
8. Strong behaviour management skills
9. A nurturing, understanding and resilient approach
10. A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
