Band 7 Advanced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist – Echocardiography
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, and dynamic individuals to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves rotating between sites to provide cardiac diagnostic services in a large tertiary centre, district general hospital, and community settings.
The department offers a full spectrum of invasive and non‑invasive cardiac diagnostic investigations and is committed to developing staff and creating new service roles.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered.
Main Duties
* Independently practice with a high level of skill and autonomy at advanced specialist level in echocardiography
* Independently practice a wide range of other cardiac physiology procedures
* Provide effective day‑to‑day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when required
* Actively participate in practical and theoretical training and development of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals inside and outside the organisation
* Participate in cardiac and associated medical research
* Undertake any other duties deemed appropriate to the band when requested by the Principal Cardiac Physiologist

Qualifications
* BSc in Cardiac Clinical Physiology or Healthcare Science, or MSc in Healthcare Science
* Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science or equivalent experience
* BSE Accreditation in TTE
* Teaching qualification
* Registered with AHCS or HCPC
Experience
* Practical and formal teaching experience
* Multi‑disciplinary team work experience
* Tertiary cardiac physiology practice
* Participation in cardiac research
Skills
* Competent to practice a wide range of cardiac diagnostic procedures

Salary
£49,387 to £56,515 per annum (pro rata)
