Hays are working with a charity based here in Bristol to recruit a Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner for a minimum period of 12 months.
Your new role
This role plays a vital part in supporting the business during systems implementation. While not directly managing the implementation, it requires flexibility during this period of change. The responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring accurate reporting in monthly management accounts and annual reports.
2. Owning the monthly reporting process, explaining variances and trends.
3. Preparing monthly reports and presenting them to key stakeholders.
4. Analyzing the balance sheet to identify risks and opportunities.
5. Collaborating with wider teams and stakeholders on finance matters.
6. Raising and issuing invoices with correct VAT application.
7. Preparing budgets and distributing them across the organization.
8. Supporting ongoing systems transformation as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
We seek a qualified accountant experienced in management accounting and report preparation. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and partnering with non-finance teams is essential. Experience with systems improvements is a plus. You should be a team player capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
